Three Capes Gear & Gourmet is your one-stop shop for quality lightweight hiking gear and tasty adventure food, selected especially for the conditions on the Three Capes Track.

We’re here to make your Three Capes adventure an unforgettable experience. We reckon that you’re coming for a wilderness journey and for a holiday. Book your dates and organise your flights to head south; the only other preparation you have to do is wander round this website to choose the gear and food that will take your experience to the next level.

Here’s how to go about it:

STEP ONE – Hire Gear

If you need gear, go through our gear pages and add anything you need or would like to your ‘rucksack’ checkout bag. Most things are for hire; a few – like hats – aren’t legal to hire so they’re for sale, and some things are for sale because we think they’re cool enough to take home with you. STEP TWO – Choose Food

Step your tastebuds through our menu of home-cooked and carefully curated meals and pre-prepared treats for the track. We cater for all dietary requirements and can prepack everything from the basic supplies to luxe Tassie treats including cheese and confectionery.

The order system will keep track of what’s in your rucksack and will tally both price and weight – because you want to know how much you’re going to be carrying, right? – as you go.

STEP THREE – Delivery or collection?

When you check out, you’ll put in your delivery or collection details and time. We deliver only to accommodation in central Hobart; if you’re staying a little further out you can set a time to come to our home office in West Hobart to collect, or we can meet you at prearranged, well-known spot – Constitution Dock, for instance.

If you’re going straight to Port Arthur from the airport (or you’re driving direct to Port Arthur from the Far North) we’ll deliver to you at the airport for an additional fee.

Don’t forget to hire a mess kit if you need one! If you’ve ordered a rucksack from us, you’ll even get a full-size dry bag for your gear and trash sack for waste so your stuff doesn’t get festy.
