Three Capes Track midwinter special

The Three Capes Track’s popularity can make getting one’s departure date of choice a bit of a challenge – especially during the December–April busy season.

Here’s a great solution: walk during Tassie’s cooler – but no less entrancing – winter and enjoy substantial savings on your track pass.

Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania recently announced a special “promotional” price of $360 for all walkers (adults, children and concessions) departing during August 2017 – a saving of more than 25 per cent on the standard adult price of $495.

The track is open year-round (occasional and temporary closures for maintenance aside) and its communal cabins – the kitchen, dining and lounge spaces of which are heated by pellet fires – make winter walking on the Three Capes a pleasure.

In case you were wondering: yes, Three Capes Gear and Gourmet is open year-round, and has everything you need to stay warm, dry and well fed if you choose to tackle the track during the cooler months. Whatever you do, don’t forget a beanie
